The inoculant, containing selected rhizobium strains, is sealed inside the coating, providing ideal pH conditions for rhizobial survival and for nutrient uptake. Coating provides a major advantage over traditional inoculation methods, as it protects the rhizobium from the damaging effects of heat and light. Due to its added weight, 70% seed and 30% coating (yellow) Prill-On® coated seed is easy to seed.
